This past February, MacKenzie Place – Fort Collins participated in Leisure Care’s 6th Annual Fitness Frenzy. MacKenzie Place – Fort Collins Senior Living Supports Boys and Girls Club
Each February, Leisure Care and the One Eighty Foundation partner with Leisure Care senior living communities to get residents and staff moving while also providing the opportunity to give back to the local communities where we live, work, and play.
For the second year running, MacKenzie Place – Fort Collins has chosen to donate our fundraising efforts to the Boys and Girls Club of Larimer County. This year, we raised $4,900 for the Boys and Girls Club, exceeding our donation from last year! Our local Boys and Girls Club provides a comprehensive out-of-school program that includes meals, youth development, and mentoring for $20/year. They focus on not only academic success in kids, but character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
Our residents had fun participating in a community ‘triathlon’, celebrating spirit days, and sponsoring a local health fair – all in the name of fun and philanthropy!
In addition to raising money through pledges for active minutes, a variety of companies and organizations sponsored us by donating items to a silent auction and participating in our health fair. MacKenzie Place – Fort Collins would like to thank the following sponsors:
