Canfield Place Takes a Trip Back in Time
Canfield Place residents recently took a trip back in time with the Oregon Historical Society (OHS). Offering visitors a diverse and expansive look at the history of Oregon, the trip brought back many memories for our residents. Current exhibits included the history of Portland and how the city has evolved over the years. One of the more popular exhibits was the History of Music during the counterculture of the 1960s. Residents also enjoyed the vast research library.
“I could’ve spent all day in Oregon Historical Society research library. It was fascinating!” – Dan McCormick, Canfield Place resident
“I didn’t know about all the different cultural groups and how they settled and come to Oregon. Wow! What interesting stories they had!” – Yvonne Miller, Canfield Place resident
Through our time at OHS, residents gained a more thorough understanding of our home state. We enjoyed hearing their memories and personal experiences about growing up through the decades.
At Canfield Place, we understand the importance of taking advantage of our location and giving our residents access to educational and cultural opportunities. While we learned about the history of our great state, we also learned about each other’s personal history, building lasting memories and meaningful connections with one another.
We would love for you to join us on our next outing! Stop by Canfield Place today to see our activities calendar and join us!
