During the pandemic, the staff at Woodland Terrace, an independent living senior community, quickly adapted to changing health protocols, respecting social distancing guidelines while keeping seniors active and engaged in community life.

Well aware of the dangers of social isolation, the staff went above and beyond to bring Five-Star Fun every day. They hosted a New Year’s Eve party with masks and social distancing to welcome the New Year. On January 6, 2021, residents and staff at Woodland Terrace in Bothell, WA, held their first three vaccine clinics. After ten months of COVID-safe protocols that exceeded CDC guidance, residents and staff were thrilled to take a big step in the path back to a normal life.

“Crushing COVID” was the theme of the vaccination clinic, and residents took photos declaring their part in ‘crushing’ the pandemic. The staff also put out Orange Crush drinks, and there were refreshments available. Residents were thrilled to be taking part in this historic moment.
