MacKenzie Place – Fort Collins Hosts Ping Pong Tournament

MacKenzie Place - Fort Collins Hosts Ping Pong Tournament

Alissa Sauer

The staff and residents at MacKenzie Place – Fort Collins independent living, assisted living, and memory care community had a blast celebrating Fitness Frenzy in February! February Fitness Frenzy is an annual challenge across all Leisure Care communities. Staff and residents raise money by being active for at least 30 minutes per day and have friends and family pledge money for each active minute.

Ping Pong Tournament at MacKenzie Place - Fort CollinsTo raise money, get moving, and meet our February Fitness Frenzy goal, MacKenzie Place – Fort Collins hosted a staff ping pong tournament. Our staff practiced with residents each week and we had 16 staff players participate in a single elimination tournament.

Our staff enjoys practicing with residents and the residents come out to cheer on the staff during the tournament.

Activities like this are a great way for staff and residents to develop meaningful relationships and have fun in a different way while also being active. We look forward to starting a weekly ping pong group following the tournament to keep the staff and residents playing!
