Oktoberfest at Canfield Place

Residents at Canfield Place enjoy fun and engaging events throughout the year. To welcome the fall season, we recently celebrated Oktoberfest, providing a fun and cultural experience for our residents and their families. Offering Five-Star Fun every day, Canfield Place strives to give residents and their families opportunities to create lasting memories with friends and family members.

On Friday, September 27, 2019, Canfield Place residents and staff gathered to celebrate Oktoberfest, a traditional holiday that takes place worldwide with origins in Germany. Canfield Place celebrated Octoberfest with authentic German food like bratwurst, old-fashioned pretzels, and even a traditional German Lager.

The Oom-pah Boys brought us live entertainment with their three-piece band that included an accordion, clarinet, and a tuba. They played famous pieces like Beer Barrel Polka, Chicken Dance, Edelweiss, Happy Wandered, Come Back to Sorrento, and more. Our residents danced and enjoyed the fun music while playing carnival-style games.
