New TV Show Features Leisure Care Community Restaurant

A new and original TV show hosted by seniors for seniors seeks out new ways for retirement to be enjoyed and savored. The latest episode took a trip to our very own Mackenzie Place – Colorado Springs independent living, assisted living, and memory care community, where dinner is not just a meal but an experience.

TV Show Showcases Five-Star Dining

A new original show from ASY Network “New Horizons” hosted by Lori Schardt and Tom Rasmussen finds fun ways for seniors to engage in their community, stay informed, and make the most of every day. The show recently took a trip to our very own Mackenzie Place – Colorado Springs to try their restaurant and sample the newest menu.

As Lori and Tom begin their episode, they are in search of a good meal and take to an unexpected place to find it – a senior living community. The new menu at Mackenzie Place – Colorado Springs was created by a team of experienced chefs and managers and features scallops with parmesan and pea risotto, a Reuben sandwich with corned beef made in-house, and cedar plank grilled salmon.
