Washington Oakes is proud to have so many veterans call our community home. This past Veterans Day, we wanted to show our appreciation to veterans while also supporting small local businesses in Everett, WA, affected by COVID-19 shutdowns. Learn how we combined forces with a local restaurant to support both veterans and local businesses.

Partnering with Local Small Business to Honor Veterans

The COVID-19 shutdowns have greatly affected small businesses. Washington Oakes independent living and assisted living community cares deeply about the local community where we live, work, and play. This past Veterans Day, we were proud to partner with Totem Diner to discount meals for veterans.

Working together, we were able to give their most popular breakfast item to 20 veterans for free! It was a great way to thank veterans for their service and also help a local small business.

Washington Oakes senior living is thankful that our residents and staff are willing and able to support others in difficult times.
